Infernus gas bain maries provide a practical way to keep prepared food hot and ready for service in restaurants, cafés, takeaways, catering trailers and other commercial catering environments.
Our countertop gas bain marie range includes 4-pan and 6-pan models, both designed for 1/4 GN pans up to 150mm deep. Stainless steel construction, adjustable temperature control, piezo ignition, flame failure protection and built-in drainage taps make them well suited to everyday commercial use.
Both models are supplied ready for LPG and include a conversion kit for Natural Gas, giving businesses flexibility when choosing their installation.

A commercial gas bain marie is designed to hold prepared food at serving temperature using gentle, indirect heat. Unlike equipment intended primarily for cooking food from cold, a bain marie is particularly useful during service when multiple prepared dishes need to be kept warm and readily accessible.
Gas models can be especially useful in commercial kitchens and mobile catering environments where gas is already available or where relying on additional high-powered electrical equipment isn’t desirable.
The Infernus gas bain marie range is available in two countertop sizes.
The INF-GBM44 4 Pan Gas Bain Marie holds 4 x 1/4 GN pans up to 150mm deep. Its compact 590mm-wide body makes it a good option where countertop space is limited.
The larger INF-GBM66 6 Pan Gas Bain Marie holds 6 x 1/4 GN pans up to 150mm deep, providing additional capacity for businesses that need to hold a wider selection of foods during service.
Both models use a 3.3kW gas burner.
The current Infernus gas bain maries are supplied ready for LPG, making them suitable for many mobile catering and commercial applications.
A Natural Gas conversion kit is included where conversion is required. Any installation or gas conversion must be carried out by a suitably qualified commercial Gas Safe engineer in accordance with current regulations and the manufacturer’s instructions. The manufacturer’s instructions also require adequate ventilation and combustion air around the appliance.
The INF-GBM44 and INF-GBM66 use a water-filled well to provide indirect heat beneath the gastronorm pans.
Both models incorporate a water level mark and drainage tap, making it easier to fill the well correctly and drain it after use. Water should be added to the tank before operating the appliance, as specified in the operating instructions.
Both Infernus models feature piezo ignition and a flame failure safety device.
As commercial gas appliances, they must be correctly installed and commissioned before use. The manufacturer’s instructions specify a 1/2″ rear gas connection and require sufficient ventilation around the appliance.
